The Inspiring NICK vujicic
Nick first captured my heart over 8 years ago after watching a similar video to the one below. This summer I read on of his amazing books for the fourth time. His book is one of few I have actually read cover to cover. Nick is so inspiring. He was born with a condition called Phocomelia meaning No Arms and No Legs. He was born and raised most of his life in Australia. Like most kids he was bullied growing up due to the fact he had no arms and no legs. However moving to the United States increased his fears of being bullied because he was not only confined to a wheel chair, but had no arms or legs and a foreign accent. Little did Nick know Americans tend to love Australian Accents. Reading his book and seeing his videos on Youtube inspire me to no end. It makes me realize if Nick can live a life without limits with Phocomelia then their has to be hope for the rest of us. Wouldn't you agree.....
Nick is a true Warrior in my eyes. A man who has overcome many obstacles in life. I learned this in reading the first book below LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS. Independent things that most of us take for granted everyday (taking a bath, getting dressed, brushing our hair and teeth). Simple everyday things that we are capable doing that Nick Vujicic had to learn how to do and adapt to his life without limbs in ways we couldn't even imagine. Nick has helped me to realize that I have a lot in life to be grateful for and even though most of it is not monetary they are priceless. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have my arms and legs no matter how imperfect they are. I am grateful to have 20/20 vision and not need glasses like most people in my family including my kids. I am grateful to have my hearing at the age of 37 unlike my grandmother who almost completely lost hers by the age of 30. She lived another 56 years so imagine that lifetime with little to no hearing. I am grateful to have my sense of smell unlike my dad who has lost his due to severe breathing difficulties which he tried to correct with Afrin many many times, hence damaging his sense of smell. I am grateful to have so much in my life, my children, my parents, and an amazing man who I am so blessed to be able to spend the rest of my life with. Be sure to read LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS I promise you won't regret it. Then continue through reading the rest of Nicks books just like me. I can hardly wait to read them myself.
