First of all my Instagram name has changed you can find me at @txwarriorprincess now. One thing I learned in this book was that we are all faced with our challenges. Learning to accept that God gave us these challenges in order to use them as tools in our lives to lead us to our destiny is a whole other ball game. Nick shares that with us as he learns to adapt to his life without limbs and learns to love and accept himself for who he is and as he is. Then and only then he realized his true purpose in life. He realized he was meant to be a Warrior of God and share the word with the world by sharing his story and how he has overcome challenges in life that he has had to face due to the lack of no arms or legs.
Things that most of us take for granted like being able to shower on our own, brushing our teeth, getting dressed, driving a car, riding a bike, walking, writing, and so much more that Nick wasn't able to do. However he has adapted to his body and found ways to do some of these things on his own without arms or legs. Nick shares details of his journey as he moves from Australia to the United States and tries to change his accent believing the people here would not accept him already because of his handicap. He believed if he could change his accent and sound more American it would improve his chances.
Nick shares details about his many adventures around the world speaking to thousands and thousands of people. How his story has inspired people from even the poorest of countries. My favorite one had to be where he spoke of this one country he went to and it was one of the poorest he had ever seen or heard of. The people there would rummage through the garbage to find things they could use or eat in their daily life and yet their faith was not shaken. It was such a powerful story to read. Many people in those circumstances would certainly have lost faith.
Also Nick shares how he was first invited to be part of a short movie which is actually on YouTube and I have shared it for you to watch below. Its called the Butterfly Circus. I must say this book and the short film are so powerful and inspiring and I can hardly wait to share more. I just fear to give away too many details and then you lose interest in reading it. I give this book a score of 10 on a scale from 1-10 and 10 being the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
