Loyalty Runs Deep
This Blog Post today is about a very special guy. He is like a brother to me. Before I tell you about him I want to tell you how I come to know him. This is where Loyalty comes into play and proves that Blood is not always thicker.
Meet Shayne Semetara a U.S. Army veteran who has served in our military for over a decade and a half. Married to the love of his life and High School Sweetheart Kathleen. Both have served in our U.S. Army but Shayne is in it for the long haul. He has served several tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a father of three and Entrepreneur. Network Marketing is how we met to be exact. I believe we were both in the same group on Facebook and he befriended me. Shayne and I have known each other for 4 years going on 5 and I look at him as my little islander brother (OHANA). Shayne is the reason we all say Ohana now. He is actually an islander. It is because of Shayne that I have the blessing and the pleasure of sharing with you my brother from another mother Bryan Mitchum |

I met Bryan through Shayne. They were already friends and Bryan befriended me because he was inspired by my post as he mentions here in this Instagram post I so graciously woke up to this morning. I had a feeling Bryan was one of my more dedicated Blog Watchers as he is like a little brother to me. Our bond runs deeper than that of mine and my blood brother.
Bryan never fails to wish me Happy Mothers Day, Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas all of the special days of the year you can think of Bryan always drops a message in my inbox to say Happy Something and I love you sis. I have not heard from my Blood Brother in two years almost. Bryan posted this to his Instagram this morning giving me a shoutout in reference to a Blog Post I did about my True Love. Just click on the screenshot of Bryans Post and it will take you to that exact Blog Post. I am so honored to have this man as my friend, brother in Christ and Ohana. For those of you who don't know...what Ohana means.>>>>> Bryan is such a wonderful friend and I can tell him pretty much anything. Be sure to click on his pic as well to connect with him on Facebook and you can see his Instagram in the screenshot so hit him with a follow there as well. |
This is the kind of relationship God wishes to have with us. He wishes to be someone you can run to not only in your time of need but when you are happy and joyful as well. He wants to share in your pain as well as your joy. However, we often forget to give God the Glory when we are joyful and doing well. Yet we never forget to punish him when we are failing and everything seems to go wrong.
I have certain things I just can't tell any of my friends or family. Things I have done that I am not proud of. Things I suppose you could say I regret and wish I had never done. All I can say is at least I have owned up to my mistakes and I am so thankful for God. That I can run to him not only in my time of need but when I am joyous too. I know I can tell him anything and he will not speak a word of what I have shared, he will not condemn or judge me nor will he spread rumors. Wow what an amazing friend.
I have attached a song for you below "More than you Think I AM" by Danny Gokey. He is one of my most favorite Christian Music Artist. Once on American Idol after the recent passing of his wife, he of course lost and was sent home. However, God would see to it that this was not the end of Danny Gokeys Music Career in Christian Music. In part it is Danny's song that helped turn my eyes back to the cross.
